This Cushion is screen printed by hand (my hands!) onto Cotton satin fabric, using gold metallic ink. All screen printing is carried out by me at my studio in Perthshire. The Cushion can be purchased with or without the inner cushion pad.

These are made in small batches, and the ink mixed by hand each time, so subtle variations in the gold can occur between batches. Screen printing with gold ink is something I have been doing since around 2005, it has been become something of a signature design element for me, featuring in work I make under my own label, within commissioned work and right down to the print finish on my business cards!

With a love of entomology and the crowded display cases of Victorian museum exhibits, I created the design from my own hand drawn illustrations. This design was one of my first creations, and was featured in Homes and Interiors Scotland.

Care instructions:
To wash, turn inside out and hand wash with warm water and a gentle detergent. Air dry flat and iron on the reverse side only, not on the print side.

Direct sunlight over long periods will in time cause fading, so take care to avoid sun soaked spots for your cushion.
